The Big Wood river may be running a little off color from some afternoon rain showers but there is still fishing to be had. all though the green drakes are mostly gone, try throwing a size 14 purple para wolff or a parachute adams. If you’re not having success with drys, tie on a prince nymph dropper. silver creek water levels have risen a bit over the last week but always running clear. If it’s sunny expect to see a trico hatch. If it’s cloudy, pmds and baetis are it. (Wind permitting) mid day and early afternoons on the upper big lost have been the most productive with bushy stimulators or a size 16 tan elk hair caddis. Basic parachute patterns with a small beadhead dropper on warm springs creek is sure to keep the angler coming back for more. Trail Creek provides beginners and kid’s with easy to catch hungry fish.
