Join us for our final free fly casting clinic of the summer on Monday august 31st at Atkinson Park in Ketchum between 6 and 7pm. With summer coming to an end, we still have plenty of good fishing ahead of us. Water flows have dropped below 600cfs on the South Fork of the Boise. Wading there should be come more obtainable in the next couple weeks. Size 14 or 16 purple parwulff or lime pmx has been enticing fish to the surface on the Big Wood. Also, hoppers midday with a lightening bug, rainbow warrior or pheasant tail dropper can produce some nice results. Despite low water flows on Trail Creek, parachute adams, smaller hopper and stimulator patterns have been a lot of fun. These fish are not very picky. Warmer temps and breezy days have made Silver Creek a little more sporadic. Try down stream casts, along the seems with a beetle, hopper or flying ant pattern. Sturtevants’ annual Labor Day sale starts next week…all fishing gear 30% off with the exception of flies.

Tight lines!
