Bike and Rental Buyer
Todd grew up in the hills outside Salem, Oregon. Learning to power slide his big wheel on the rain soaked hills near his home, he adapted those skills to a two-wheeled bike and a pair of skis.
Then in his twenties he brought his passion for outdoor sports to the retail service world. Getting a college job at Gord’s in Winnipeg, MB, he learned the trade from sport greats Gord Ried, Paul Rudolph and John Monroe. In addition to becoming a top wrench for local pro level athletes, Todd began building trails and promoting local XC MTB races. His courses were used for top level racing in the Canada Cup series events and for the 1999 Pan-Am games.
Seeking a quieter lifestyle and wanting to hone his skiing prowess, Todd migrated to Ketchum in the fall of 1994. He enjoyed the various adventures of the central Idaho region for a year before returning to Canada to complete a Machinist certificate and spend some time working with Mike Wiegele, Heli skiing in Blue River BC.
Since then it has been game on in the Ketchum / Sun Valley area. With an alchemist mind for formulas and machinist skills, Todd has been leading the charge in making Sturtevant’s one of the nation’s leading depots for every cyclist’s needs. He has one eye on the future of the sport and keenly aware of all genres of cycling. Drop by and shake his hand, if you can catch him standing still.
