Olin Glenne

Managing Partner and Guide

Olin Glenne has been a resident of the Wood River Valley since 1997, and after working for Sturtevants for 15 years, he became the owner in January, 2013 along with his business partner Ben Jacobson.

Olin is originally from Park City, Utah, where his love and dedication to the sport of skiing began. After becoming a three time Junior Olympic champion in skiing, Olin went to Oregon State University on a soccer scholarship where he studied Business and Construction Engineering Management. Amidst his successful college soccer career, his skiing career was alive and well; as he went on to have four top 10 finishes on the Big Mountain World Tour.

Now Olin and his wife Massey, enjoy all the great things that the Ketchum area has to offer. He still dominates the slopes, winning the locals favorite ski race; the Lane Parrish Memorial Combined Trophy, four times. Skiing is but one of Olin’s many interests, “Skiing, Cycling, and Fly-fishing and exploring the outdoors are my favorite things to do and why Sturtevants and SVMG is such a good fit for me. In particular, I really enjoy the adventurous outings such as ski mountaineering in the Sawtooths or Lost River Range, linking together unique mountain bike loops in The White Clouds and Smokey Mountains, or seeking out less travelled pieces of water seeking fish that have never been hooked.

Outside the scope of Sturtevants and SVMG, I love to travel, good music, golf, and soccer.” Olin’s extensive knowledge of the Wood River Valley, the surrounding areas, and mountain ranges, makes him a great guide for any fishing, biking, or hiking excursion. He also has experience guiding backcountry skiing for Sun Valley Heli Skiing. His dedication to his interests and passions is superseded only by his dedication to his customers and employees.

“I look forward to providing our customers and guests with exceptional service and merchandise that will elevate the experience and performance of their outdoor adventures, for many years to come!”
