Ride Sun Valley Bike Festival Presents the Local Stoker RIDES: Sponsored by Smith Optics

Get out on some of Sun Valley’s best trails and ride with the locals to
get your stoke on!  Leaving from the Sun Valley Visitor Center each morning from July 13-16 these rides are free and led by locals. Strenuous, challenging and rewarding, these are the dirt-faced Mona Lisa’s of Idaho singletrack.  Riders should be fit, ready to ride, game to a good time and planning to leave all sniveling and whining at home. July 13
RIDE SUN VALLEY LOCAL STOKER – Departs at 8:30 a.m. Free to the public,
space limited
Red Warrior-Greenhorn Gulch. 11 Miles, 1,500′ vertical, approx 3 hours.
This is a classic shuttle taking riders out Warm Springs and dropping
them off at Red Warrior Creek trailhead.  Challenging climb brings
riders to high saddle above Greenhorn Gulch.  It’s Star Wars downhill
time back to the GH trailhead! Shuttle back to Visitor Center

July 14
RIDE SUN VALLEY LOCAL STOKER – Departs at 8:30 a.m.  Free to public,
space limited
Edge of the World.  15 miles, 2,000′ vertical, 3.5 hours.  Shuttle out
to Baker Creek and climb to the edge of the world. Then rip down Oregon
Gulch with your hair on fire. Mind your collarbones. Shuttle picks
riders up at North Fork store and returns to Visitor Center.

July 15
RIDE SUN VALLEY LOCAL STOKER – Departs at 9:00 a.m.  Free to public
space limited.
Cold Springs-Warm Springs. 16 miles, 2,400′ vertical, 3.5 hours. Ride
from SV Visitor Center climb back side of Baldy via Cold Springs and rip
around to the Warm Springs side via Warm Springs Trail.  Apples BBQ
awaits for riders at conclusion.

July 16
RIDE SUN VALLEY LOCAL STOKER – Departs at 9:00 a.m. Free to public,
space limited.
Easley Hot Springs aka Curly’s Trail. 11 miles, 1,500 feet, 2 hours.
Break out your longer travel for one the valley’s classic brake warpers.
Make two laps if you are feeling cheeky. Shuttle to and from Baker
Creek.

July 16
RIDE SUN VALLEY LOCAL STOKER – Departs 9:00 a.m. Free to public, space
limited.
Fox Peak to Ketchum via East Fork Baker Creek. 22 miles, 2,100’+
vertical, 4.5+ hours.  This is the mother of all Local Stokers!
Strenuous, technical, long, hard, super awesome.  Ride from Baker Creek
back to Ketchum on over 22 miles of railer singletrack. Pack extra
energy food.

About Ride Sun Valley: Founded in 2011, Ride Sun Valley is a festive
bike event featuring racing, shuttles, live music, a photo shoot out,
and all kinds of other fun showcasing the local communities of Ketchum
and Sun Valley and over 400 miles of mountain bike-friendly singletrack
around the Sun Valley area.  Running from July 11-July 17, 2011, this
event is one of the nation’s newest and most robust bike events.  More
