With trico hatches occurring in the mornings, timing is everything on the Creek. Damsel flies, beetles, and hoppers are your midday patterns to try. With the big wood running clear andwater flows dropping close to 200cfs, it’s time to shrink those dry flies down. A size 16 or 18 parachute adams or purple para wulff with a bead head dropper has been working well. Try fishing shallower waters, under low lying branches or near the banks. With hoppers becoming more prevalent throughout the valley, fish are starting to look up. Size 10 orange or red stimulators on the upper Big Lost and Copper Basin area have been attracting some nice size cutthroats.
