With current stocking going on through out the month, Gaver’s Lagoon, Penny Lake, and Lake Creek Pond would be great way to spend an afternoon with the kiddos or to just work on your casting and catching. Trico hatches have started to diminish on Silver Creek so keep an eye out for beatis and calibeatis hatches. Size 22 is recommended and a good presentation is a must. The Big Wood River has seen some nice trico hatches and with water temps cooling slightly, bigger fish have been a little more common. A hopper with a size 16 pearl lightning bug or rainbow warrior has been productive, something with a little flash to catch their eye! Trail Creek is running a little skinny but fish are holding up in the small pools. Try throwing a size 12 orange stimulator to bring them to the surface.

Come join us on Mondays for our free fly casting clinics at Atkinson Park in Ketchum, between 6 and 7 pm. Stop in for our Mid-Summer fishing sale. All fishing gear is 30% off with the exception of flies. Let our friendly staff get your adventures off to a great start.

Tight lines!
