With the lower big lost flowing around 300cfs, it is a little easier wading but you still need to be cautious. fishing with a size 20 trico, pmd, or beatis is a great choice for rising fish. Midday fishing on the Big Wood River seems to be good right now with spruce moth hatches occurring north of Ketchum. Size 10 or 12 yellow or tan caddis should get some nice results. Warm Springs Creek has become a little skinny. Fishing the deeper pools and riffles with a size 12 lime pmx or size 18 purple haze will increase your odds. Silver Creek trico hatches have been occurring when air temps reach around 65 degrees and its not windy. size 22’s with 7x tippet and down stream casts are a must. Pmds and baetis hatches can also be found. If you’re fishing through out the valley and dry fly fishing is slow get that bead head prince nymph, copper john or zebra midge dropper on a few feet down from your dry fly.
